Another blooming Vanda

The specimen exhibited above opened several days ago and has a good fragrance. It is rooted to a Fox Tail Palm on our patio and appears to be very happy, as I have not been fertilizing any of the orchids for months and they are blooming! The specimen below has been opened for almost two weeks. This specimen is still in a basket.

Black & Blue Salad with Shrimp

Last night, we had Julie, Mike & Joe over for a cookout. I grilled NY Strip and steamed mixed veggies. Mike & Julie made a nice salad and brought several Avocados. We had Sweet Potato and Pecan Pie for desert. It was a great meal!

I decided to make something healthy for lunch today with the left over NY Strip. I made a nice salad with the steak, shrimp, blue cheese, a few apples, reddish over a bed a spinach. A yummy lunch!
