Ocmulgee Indian Mounds 03/19/2009

The Mounds were wet during this visit. It rained for 4 of the 8 days that we visited Georgia. It was refreshing to see the rain, as Georgia has been in a drought for several years.

Interesting wild area, Joe.
That log didn't look safe enough to stand on.
Its good that there has been some rain in Georgia. I remember you saying before that there had been a bad drought. We're still in drought in our main food bowl, the Murray Darling Basin, but floods along the Queensland coast. Too much in the wrong places.

The log was nestled on/or wedged on several other stumps! There are also alligators in the swampy area where I was standing. You only live once!

WE are in a major drought, again, in Florida.
