Southern Bald Eagle

Today, we went to Buckhead Ridge (NW Lake Okeechobee) to meet family for lunch. We stopped at one of the boat ramps (GPS link) to explore what critters we could stumble upon. After only seeing a few Limpkins, Egrets, and Night Herrings, I noticed a bigger bird perched on a light in the parking area. I zoomed in with my camera and became excited over a glimpse of a Southern Bald Eagle. I was able to capture a few shots before the specimen flew off. I was also able to snap a few more shots of this amazing bird in flight. On the drive home, I saw several immature specimen perched in trees along the main highway.
