The falls have much more water than last year: click here! We enjoyed the rain filled day with our friend, Vicky. When it was not raining, the high winds from TS Fay blew water on us from the saturated trees. We had a great time at the Falls and look forward to returning next year.
Thank you for visiting. Click on any photo to enjoy its native size & please leave a comment! My photos are captured with my Canon Rebel XTI with a Tameron 28 - 300 MM lens, Canon PowerShot SD800 IS and/or iPhone.

Downtown Macon & the Rose Hill Cemetery
We visited Downtown Macon & the Rose Hill Cemetery on 08/25/2008. The downtown area is historical and academic. It is home to a Mercer University campus. The Rose Hill cemetery is an awesome place to spend some time by exploring its offerings and enjoying its ambiance.
Ocmulgee Indian Mounds 08/22/2008
We visited the mounds on 08/22/2008. The wetlands at the mounds look horrible this year. You can see the effects of the drought below as compared this the photos on this blog from last year: click here! However, the river is at a higher level than last year. TS Fay did bring a lot of needed rain to Macon; however, I did not have my camera on me to exhibit the small changes in the water level that the rains offered.
These Deer are eating in an area that was a lake.

TS Fay vs the Golden Silk Orbweaver
I snapped a few shots of this specimen who has been able to survive the 60+ MPH gusts of TS Fay and her wind driven rain with no problem! The strength of a spider web and the agility of the specimen is amazing. This is the same specimen that I have posted several times; however, this time, I snapped the shots from my patio and the screen from the balcony is not distorting the shots.

Dragon Fly on a Fox Tail Palm
I snapped these shots from my bedroom window. The window has a tint that minimized the brilliancy of the colors of the insect.
R I P Jackie
Our dear friends sent us this card in support of Jackie's renal failure. I am glad that we have such supportive and loving friends.
