Painted Turtle
Today, we visited Savannas State Park. Its was a cool (58°), breezy day with a slight overcast that turned into a nice down-pour of rain. We only got to see a small portion of the park and plan on returning in the near future. The wild hogs have really made an impact on the area by eating the roots of plants and digging up the earth. The recent droughts have caused much of the marsh areas to evaporate and are now grassy plains. We did get wet from the down-pour, so our adventure ended earlier than we planned.
