These shots are of a Dragon Fly perched on an orchid leave. I have been noticing more critters on our patio lately. This is probably due to our courtyard being one of the only placing that has native plants or items that attract nature.
I proud to say that I was able to zoom this well and clear with my PowerShot 800 IS!

Nice shots of the dragonfly. What a lovely shade of blue. When we switched from a lawn to native plants, the diversity of insect and avian visitors to our front "yard" went way up.

You did a good job of photographing it from different angles to be able to see all of the identifying markings on the body and wings.
